Casa Roca

Location details

Description

Casa Roca is situated in the heart of the old town of Palma on the Balearic Island of Mallorca in Spain. This special space was owned and run as a stationary store by the same family for nearly 100 years. Dating and furnished in the 1930s, it has retained all its original features including the original shop counter, glass display cabinets, dozens of wooden drawers and shelving, all around an impressive mezzanine gallery display area.

The shop, which was originally a stationary store, could easily be dressed as a pharmacy, general store, restaurant, office or other similar establishment from the era. An ornate marble staircase leads to a large basement below. Above the shop are two floors of living accommodation and an attic, which are a blank canvas that includes floor to ceiling windows with ornate balconies, high moulded ceilings, original doors and ironmongery, parquet flooring, artisan tiles and old fashioned radiators. On top of the building is a large roof terrace with views to cityscape of Palma’s Old Town. In all there are over 600 square metres.

There is no restriction on day or night time productions as Casa Roca is not currently open to the public. Parking can be reserved from the local council with three full car sized (two van size) spaces immediately outside the building, and we can also provide 4 other spaces in a private underground car park only 2 minutes walk from the location. Mains Power and water are available onsite as are toilet facilities. We provide free secure WIFI internet services.
